SELECTED ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Turned Scotsman Holdings (Williams Scotsman) into the premier brand in the Western States. Branch network had an inconsistent presence in the Western States. Opened ten new branches, including procuring land, managing contractors, branch design, and the hiring of staff. Significantly improved revenue, net profits, and customer service and market presence.

Lobbied State Legislators: 17 years of experience bringing in well over $100M of new State funds into the industry.

Developed regional and branch budgets. Wrote and implemented annual budgets totaling over $400M in revenue, complete with line item revenues and expenses, projected profits (EBITDA), and associated business plans.

CAREER HISTORY

Scotsman Holdings, Inc., Vice President of Sales and Operations – Western Region, 4/1994 to 6/2004. $900M modular commercial building company.  Managed $400M budget, 250 employees, 23 branch locations in 11 Western States, and Texas, Alaska, and Hawaii. Integration of acquired competitor’s field operations in five states, including consolidation and closures, and associated staffing and hiring adjustments. Designed fleet and custom products (utilizing current building/fire codes at the time), oversaw large-scale bid and procurement processes. Constructed and staffed ten new branches.  Led acquisition team with selection and purchase of company-wide performance enhancing information systems.

Williams Scotsman, Western Region Manager, 7/1989 to 4/1994. Managed eight branch operations. Built and developed self-sufficient teams focused on corporate goals. Directed branch sales, service, and administrative managers. Hired and trained a highly effective sales force. Reduced expenses and maximized customer service.

Scotsman Manufacturing, Branch Manager – Northern CA., 3/1986 to 7/1989, Sales Representative, Scotsman Mobile Offices. 1/1984 to 3/1986

Director of Sales and Marketing, The Solar Store, 6/2010 to 8/2011.  Developed new business in the Alternative Energy industry.  Designed marketing materials, visited homeowners and business owners, managed subcontractors and worked on building a better business in general.  Sold photovoltaic, wind and solar hot water systems.  Took the business from a deep monthly loss to being profitable every month.

RWH, Principal, 6/2004 to Present. Performed award-winning humanitarian work for non-profits. Represented Nourish the Children, working selling product whose sales supported manufacturing and distributing food to malnourished children. Project MANA & Parasol; worked with troubled youth distributing food to the needy. The Loving Hearts Club; feeding the homeless in Reno, NV.

PERSONAL

Received Volunteer of the Year at Parasol (Lake Tahoe) in 2005, among other volunteer awards.

Worked with Habitat for Humanity in El Salvador.   Taught English to teenagers in Laos.
